I hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to an awesome week ahead! This post is for Day #38, tomorrow, Monday, July 15.
Today we are going to reflect on Day #8, gratitude for your parents/grandparents. Two reflection tasks for you today:
1. Write down 10 things you are grateful for from the past 24 hours
2. Reflect on your notes from Day #8 - choose 1 or all of your parents/grandparents and think
about something you can do to show your appreciation for them for the positive impact they
have had in your life.
This is where your creativity can flow. For some of you, a handwritten note will suffice, for
others of you, it will need to be something different. Choose to form this to your family and
your personality. You want your gratitude towards them to be authentic. See below for a list
of ideas.
**I want to encourage you to avoid text messages for your gratitude towards your parents or grandparents. They are impersonal and there isn't a lot of effort that goes into them.
**If you no longer have living parents or grandparents, you can choose to do this activity with someone in your life that has made an impact on you, similar to a parent or grandparent.
Ideas List:
* Handwritten note or letter that you mail
* Take them out to/make them or bring them a meal for you two to share (lunch or dinner)
* A small gift, something that would carry value or show appreciation
* Send a bouquet of flowers or a gift card of any amount
* Spend time with them at their home or over coffee
* Carve out time to help them with household chores
* Give them a gift basket of their favorite things
It's going to be a great week! Let's win together!
Blessings, J
