Alright! You did it! Week 1 is in the bag and week 2 is officially underway! Be proud of yourself for sticking with it. Yes, we are only a week in however most people won't even take the challenge. The beauty here is that you are still pressing on and for that, you will reap the incredible benefits of this challenge.
Today is about your parents/grandparents or parental figure in your life.
*Choose one or all of them to reflect on today. Write down 30 things that impacted you about them.
Here are some thinking points to consider: (I'm using the word parents here but insert a grandparent or parent figure to make this apply to you).
1. What did you learn about or from your parents growing up?
2. What lessons did they teach you?
3. What attributes did you get from them?
4. What did you learn from their parenting style or choices?
5. What do you or did you value most about them?
6. If you could say anything to them right now, what would it be?
If they are no longer with us, reflect on the time you did have with them and answer the same questions. Allow this to be a time of great love and memories.
If you didn’t have a positive upbringing, think about someone who was a mother or father figure in your life. Did anyone step in and take that role for you? Reflect on them and the positive impact they had.
Remember, this isn't rigid. This is about forming this challenge to you so that you can take the time to reflect and get the most from it. Allow these suggested reflections to serve as guides. The most important part is taking that 15-30 minutes to reflect and dwell on the positive experiences and impacts in your life.
I hope that helps and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out via the link here or on my social media pages. I'd love to hear from you and help you on your journey!
Love and blessings,
-J
